We keep this simple: your data is yours. We collect only what's needed to run the app, we don't sell it, and you can delete it any time.
1. Who we are
Dockett ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application for Australian tradies, operated by Dockett. For privacy enquiries, contact us at support@dockett.xyz.
2. Information we collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
Business information: Business name, ABN, phone number, logo, and bank details you enter in Settings to appear on your quotes and invoices.
Job and client data: Jobs, quotes, invoices, line items, variations, voice notes, and client contact details you create inside the app.
Payment information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status only — we never see or store your credit card number.
Usage data: Standard server logs (IP address, device type, app version) used for security monitoring and bug fixing.
3. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the Dockett service
- To generate quotes, invoices, and PDFs on your behalf
- To send emails to your clients (quote and invoice delivery) using the email address you provide
- To process AI features — voice transcription and quote/invoice suggestions are processed via Claude (Anthropic) and sent only as needed
- To manage your subscription via Stripe
- To send you service-related emails (e.g. password reset, account notifications)
- To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Dockett. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (Australia region). Privacy policy

- Resend — transactional email delivery (sending quotes/invoices to your clients). Privacy policy
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI features including voice-to-invoice transcription and line item suggestions. Data sent to Claude is not used to train their models. Privacy policy
We do not sell your personal information to any third party, ever.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in Australia. We use row-level security (RLS) so your data is only accessible to your account. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
No security system is perfect. If you discover a security issue, please contact us immediately at support@dockett.xyz.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is marked for deletion and permanently removed within 30 days. Stripe may retain transaction records as required by financial regulations.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and data (via Settings → Delete account, or by emailing us)
- Export your data — contact us and we'll provide a copy
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

8. Children's privacy
Dockett is intended for use by adults running trade businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Dockett after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
